Isn't Windows Defender sufficient?
Windows Defender provides basic protection, but no central management, no automatic patch management and no behavioral analysis. In business environments with multiple devices, you lack oversight and that's exactly where arian Protect comes in. You see all devices, all threats and all updates in one dashboard.
Do devices become slower?
No. The software runs resource-efficiently in the background. The agents are optimized to stay under 1% CPU usage. Scans run preferably during idle times. Your employees won't notice anything.
Can I pause or disable the protection?
Technically yes, but we strongly advise against it. Deactivation is only possible with admin rights and is logged. In certain cases, such as for software testing, exceptions can be defined without disabling the entire protection.
Do I get access to the security logs?
Yes. You receive monthly reports with all relevant events: blocked threats, performed updates, device status. Upon request, you can also get real-time access to the dashboard.
What happens when I add or remove devices?
New devices can be added at any time. Setup typically takes less than 30 minutes per device. When removing, the agent is cleanly uninstalled. Billing is adjusted monthly - you only pay for active devices.
Do I need my own IT administrator?
No. arian Protect is a managed service - we take care of installation, updates and monitoring. You don't need an internal IT expert. If needed, we also support with initial setup and training.
Does the protection also work in home office and on the road?
Yes. The agent protects the device regardless of location. Whether in the office, home office or on the road - threat detection, antivirus and patch management always run. Management is done centrally via the cloud dashboard.
